The mediums I have chosen are collage, photography, and sketching. At the moment I have only created work as a collage and have not yet gotten to do photography or sketches. My first collage was meant to represent the layers and the color of winter and show that it is not plain or uniform. My second project was meant to represent art in a creative way and show how amazing art is by adding stars to show that it is amazing. My third and last project that I have made to this point is a collage but with letters standing up in a 3-D way, this project was to express connection and balance in communities and countries. The letters on the board also say great, and this stands for when both connection and balance are put together, they can create greatness. 

I chose to do collages because I am not the best yet at doing actual drawings or paintings, but I can be creative and express myself when collaging. I would like to explore sketching because I find that I am able to sketch well but it is difficult for me to do a full-on drawing with lots of colors. Finally, I enjoy photography because growing up and still to this time I have done lots of photography on trips and have also done many competitions with my family to see who gets the best photo and I find that I win a lot so I feel like it is a strength of mine.

I believe that my art skills have improved a lot this year and I am not planning on stopping and am planning on continuing art and learning more and more about this subject. I believe that the junior school art program has really helped me progress in art because I keep me a lot more organized than I normally would even though I am still not very organized. The first artist was Hannah Hoch, her art inspired me because she does not use a lot of color and uses less color than a lot of other artists and I like to be very plain as well and not use a ton of color. Kurt Schwitters, who is my second artist, inspired me because he likes to use 3-D art and I have made one 3-D art piece and would like to start making more art like that. My last artist is John Stezaker, who is an artist that likes to try and include nature into his paintings and this inspired me for my ideas with nature and I love producing nature art rather than any other designs.

This year there have been lots of success and lots of challenging times to make my collages. My first challenge was having to create my own project with no help and just find my own ideas because it was challenging to try and figure a good idea for a project that would actually look reasonably good and I believe that I accomplished this very well and I believe that is as well one of my greatest successes. And my greatest success would definitely have to be just starting collaging this year and actually doing decently well on most of my projects and I believe many people could agree with that. 

I would hope that my art could inspire others into helping places that don’t succeed very well like in Iran or Africa where there are a lot of families struggling to leave these places and immigrate or move to a different community that is a lot safer for them and their families.
